Used Squab for a house move. I used their packing service as well and it was worth the money as everything was packed extremely securely and far...better than I could have done myself. A great weight of my mind! On the day the removal men were punctual, polite and hard working.
Everything went smoothly and everything arrived safely with all the boxes labelled so we knew where they were going.

Having moved into a new build property they took all necessary precautions to protect the new property (covers on staircase etc).

They also recycle the packing materials where possible and will collect any boxes you can't unpack on the day, at a later date for no extra charge.

You might find cheaper quotes, but I doubt you'd get this level of service.read more

We rented a 100 sq ft storage unit at Squab. We spoke to Andy and Anne at Squab, both of whom were very helpful and friendly. We went to visit before...committing to the rental and Andy showed us around and answered all of our questions. We were really impressed with how good, modern and clean all of the facilities are and also with the assistance that we received from the staff there. The location is really handy for us, being on the outskirts of Warwick, which means we can get to it without getting stuck in town centre traffic and it's kind of nice how peaceful and quiet it feels while you're there, with it being in a lovely rural location.

Prices were competitive with other local storage companies and we also got a discount for agreeing a 1 year rental and paying upfront (discount also available for 6 month commitments).

They offer a bunch of other services which could be handy, for example van hire (discounted if you have storage there), removals, boxes and even some workspaces for rent if you need a desk somewhere.

All the facilities are clean, well lit, secure and generally well presented. Goods lifts and trollies are available for free use, so having a unit which isn't on the ground floor isn't much of a problem. Lots of different sizes of unit are available. We went for the 100 sq ft one, even though a 75 sq ft one probably would have been big enough, as the 100 sq ft and above come with double doors, as you can see in the pictures, which makes getting large items in a bit easier.

The two men who came to move us were tireless, efficient, experienced and friendly. Our move went without a hitch, with not a single item broken or...damaged. If anyone deserves a five star review, they do.

However Squab increased the price of our move by £1000, at the last minute, blaming an error in their original quotation. This made them very expensive, but at this late stage we had little option but to pay up.

They were also unable to collect their packing boxes, as they had promised to, saying we should take them to landfill! Quite apart from the waste, they were far to big for our car or bin, and so we were left with the problem of disposing of them on ebay.read more

Communication was great and always happy to answer question.

When it was time i needed the items, they delivered the crate at relatively short notice and left the crate (inside a small trailer) for us to unload.

Once we were finished a quick call and the crate was collected.
